ENGINE DESIGN & PACKAGE SELECTION
Selecting the right engine package starts with understanding your vehicle, intended use, and overall goals. While high horsepower figures can be appealing, it’s important to consider how the entire vehicle will support that performance.
Factors such as transmission strength, differential capacity, suspension setup, and braking performance all play a critical role in determining the most suitable combination. In many cases, refining the target power level to suit the vehicle and budget results in a far more balanced and usable outcome.
At EJR Performance, we design engines around proven combinations, ensuring each build delivers the desired performance while maintaining reliability, drivability, and overall vehicle compatibility. Our packages serve as a guideline, with each combination tailored to suit the customer’s specific requirements.
PRECISION BUILD & MACHINING
Every engine begins with detailed pre-planning, centred around three key elements; camshaft profile, compression ratio, and cylinder head selection. These are bespoke decisions, not off-the-shelf choices. Each camshaft profile is developed in-house, with piston design tailored to suit the exact compression and intended use of the engine.
This approach ensures the foundation of the engine is correct before any machining or assembly begins. From there, all remaining components are selected to suit the overall combination, with each engine trial assembled to confirm clearances and compatibility.
Machining is carried out by a dedicated engine machining specialist, with all final assembly completed in-house to ensure consistency, accuracy, and overall build quality.
DYNO TESTING & VALIDATION
All EJR Performance engine packages are dyno tested and validated to confirm they achieve their target horsepower and perform as designed. This process ensures each engine is free from defects and operating in optimal condition prior to delivery.
Timing and carburettor settings are finalised during dyno testing, allowing the engine to be supplied in a true turn-key condition, ready for installation.
This level of validation ensures every engine delivers the expected performance once installed.
DELIVERY & SUPPORT
Once complete, every engine undergoes a final pre-delivery inspection to ensure it is ready for installation. The engine is then carefully prepared and packaged for shipment.
We offer a national freight service at a flat rate, with delivery to freight depots in most major towns and cities. Engines can also be collected directly by customers if preferred.
After installation, your mechanic is welcome to contact EJR Performance directly for any post-installation support or questions. We continue to support our customers to ensure each engine performs as intended.
